Preben believes engaging communications can make the world a better place. This is why he started Trigger.
Preben is the managing director and a founder of Trigger, but he has given Trigger such a flat organizational structure that he spend less time on management and more with clients and colleagues to produce solutions for exciting and important tasks. He is also responsible for professional and business development at Trigger.
Preben is a professional nerd in the true meaning of the term. It is perhaps therefore he is so concerned about creating engagement in all contexts. As the most decorated PR adviser in Norway he has experienced how important true engagement is to creating change and development to reach the objectives and goals of a campaign.
Preben has lengthy experience as an adviser to a wide range of Norway’s strongest brands, public companies and organisations. He has extremely varied industry experience and has worked with IKEA, DNB, Plan Norway, Telenor, Finn.no, Adidas, Norwegian, H&M, Volvo, Siemens, NAF, the Norwegian Association of the Blind, the Norwegian Climate and Pollution Agency, Hafslund, Rom Eiendom, Westerdals, PepsiCo, Sony Ericsson, Canal Digital, Plantasjen, the Red Cross, Sporveiene, Jordan, Norway Trade Fairs and Statoil Fuel&Retail.
Preben is behind about 20 projects which have gained national and international recognition. Some of the work he is most proud of working on at Trigger are Stop The Wedding for Plan Norway, Delte Meninger for Dagbladet, Tekstileriet for IKEA Norge, the Tail Heroes campaign for Norwegian, Facebook for Real for Unghjelp, Soup Nazi for Stabburet, Ghostwriter for Finn.no, Heads of the Future for NITH, With the right tools, you can do wonders for Jordan Painting Tools, a series of innovation projects for Norway Trade Fairs and Fashion Week In Hell for Anti Sweden Jeans.
Preben previously worked as creative manager with Peto, senior adviser with PR-operatørene and communications adviser with IKEA Norway. He graduated from Volda University College in media and information, with further studies in social anthropology at the University of Oslo. He has also sat on a range of trade juries which award the best communications work done in Norway, Europe and the world, including Cannes Lions, the SABRE Awards, Gulltaggen, Gullblyanten and The Retail Awards. Preben is also used a lot as a lecturer for businesses, organisations and students. He is involved in industry issues and has an ambition of Trigger contributing to developing the industry in the right direction.
When Preben isn’t working he spends a lot of time with his partner Kaja and their two children, Ola and Hedda, but if the opportunity presents itself he can easily be convinced to go fishing. He also enjoys a beer with good friends.
